Festival Season

This past weekend it was rainy, but that didn't stop us from enjoying a good arts festival.
 Taking after her daddy.
 Checking out the firetrucks.
Oh no, hope this is the only time they're in the back of a cop car.

Working Away

Taya really had her heart set on growing some flowers.  She insisted we go to Home Depot and get some seeds, so off we went.
 Making sure they get water.
The girls planted seeds all around the mulch beds.  I didn't have the heart to tell them that we were getting new landscaping the next day.
We wanted to try and spruce up our yard and get some privacy, so we added lots of bushes and trees to our property line.
Bart was away during all of this transformation, but that was not going to stop us girls from working.  We got loads of mulch and the girls were a HUGE help!
We are on our second load of mulch!
Now, our third load in two days!  These girls were BIG helpers...even the neighbor kids helped.
These girls would not stop till we finished the 3rd load!
All worn out, ready for daddy to come home.
Bart got home in time to do the 4th load of mulch, and we are very happy with the finished product.
Our neighbors even did their landscaping too.

Doughnut Time

Taya finally got up early to go to school.  As a treat, we got to stop at the doughnut store before drop off.  YUM!

Better Late Than Never

We were on the Disney Cruise for Easter, and we never got around to dying Easter eggs.  Bart is gone for two weeks, and we are looking for things to keep us busy.  So why not dye the Easter eggs!

Taya's Field Trip

I got to go with her class to Farm Days.  Taya was so excited to see me and to show me all of the animals.
Milking a fake cow!
She thinks Grampy will like these turkeys!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

It was our 7th Anniversary on April 5th.  We were actually  traveling back home after the Disney cruise on that day, so the girls surprised us with a cake when we were settled back at home.  Thanks to Nana Gail, the girls made us a special cake and delicious dinner!

More Magic on the Disney Cruise

A lot of time on the Disney Magic was spent in the pools as the kids just LOVED hanging out together.  They only see each other once or twice a year, but when they are together they act like they are best friends.
Pirate night!
What better way to start the night than with the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.
Of course, Teagan got her ice cream!
My other pirate!
The girls really got into the action.
A pirate themed dinner.
LOVE these mateys.
They had a HUGE pirate party on the top deck, and Taya had a front row view for it all.
Can you spot Teagan on Bart's shoulders?  She's holding her light up sword.
Dancing with Grammy.
Even fireworks!
Taya danced so hard she wanted a midnight snack.
Taya did not want the party to end.  Well past midnight, Taya was still going strong!
The next day the girls slept in till lunch!  So we had lunch on our room balcony.
We just enjoyed a day at sea.
Kisses for Mickey.
Another special dinner.
Each night, we would get back to our room to find a clever towel animal our room host made for us.
Our last full day on the ship was at Disney's private island called Castaway Cay.  It's AMAZING!
A perfect way, to end a perfect week!
Bart took Jake and Taya snorkeling.
 My little fish.
The island is so beautiful, and just a peaceful way to end the week.
Grammy even relaxed!
Our home for the last week.
The last night there was a special show, and Jake got picked to be in it.
It was hilarious as the comedian turned Jake into a puppet.
Party at our last dinner together!
One last time to see all of the characters.
So sad to leave!
This wonderful week would have never been possible without Grammy and Grampy.  They could have celebrated their 50th Anniversary several ways, including on a special trip just the two of them.  Instead, they decided to treat all 11 of us to this amazing adventure that has given us so many memories that will last a lifetime.  They could not be more generous, and we could never thank them enough for the love they give to our family.  HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY!
