Brodersen Visit

On Christmas morning, after the girls opened their presents, they headed outside to try their new toys.

Teagan adores her new doggy.

 Not long after we opened all of our gifts, Grandma and Grandpa Brodersen along with Aunt Monique flew in from MN.  They brought awesome gifts for the girls.

 The girls loved having them here as they got to try out all of their new games with them.

 Aunt Monique played and played and played with the girls non-stop.

 Bart made a lot of great meals, but we also all went out for a special treat to Mellow Mushroom!

The weather was so beautiful when they were here, we took them to Pullen Park.

After all that playing, it was time for some Grandma Brodersen snuggles.

It was great having the Brodersen's with us over Christmas break.  Sad to see them leave.

Christmas Morning

For the first time, in a long time we were all alone on Christmas morning.  It was just the 4 of us.  As soon as the girls walked down the stairs in the morning, the ran to their gifts from Gammy and Grampy.

 Watch out...Taya got the scooter she's been wanting.

 Mommy is pretty scared about the fast scooter, so they also got her a full face helmet!

 Oh boy, we are in trouble!

After a little power nap, the girls were ready to roll!

Grandma and Grandpa Brodersen along with Aunt Monique flew in Christmas afternoon, so we can't wait to share all of that fun!

Despite 3 out of the 4 of us coming down with the flu, we managed to still pull it off.  Can't wait to see their faces!

Santa Comes to the Brodersen's

I decided since we didn't have family coming in before Christmas, we would celebrate with our friends who are like our family and host a Christmas party.  Bart was a big help making the food.  We made Santa bread from scratch!

 The girls made all of the Grinch hat fruit kabobs.

 Jackie was in charge of the champagne punch.

 The girls were ready to greet all our guests.

 The Santa bread turned out pretty good.

 Bart cooked up a delicious ham.

Then, the door bell rang and there was a special surprise for all of the kids.

Teagan was first to jump right up on his lap.

 She told him exactly what she wanted...a Barbie Jeep.

 Wesley was next.

 Taya went right up too.

All of the kids had so much fun sitting on Santa's lap.

Then, Santa did some magic tricks.

 All of the kids picked out a story for Santa to read.

He also had a gift for each child.

 The girls LOVED their lap tops.
