Gone Fish'n

Grampy is here so that means the girls want to go fishing.
Taya just kept reeling them in one right after the other.
Taya even took this picture of Grampy's fish.
 Yep, another one!
Teagan got up from her nap and wanted to go too.
I think they got a big one???
 Check out this HUGE catfish!
Teagan was amazed at how big it was.

Last Day at the Beach

It's back to our beach trip.  It was our last full day at the beach house, so of course we needed doughnuts.
 Then, we hit the beach!
Check out what daddy did...our little mermaid.
Taya's turn at covering daddy with sand
Then, Taya wanted to be a snowman.
Teagan wanted to be Olaf too.
 Teagan trying to boogie board.
 Taya surfing.
At night, the kids favorite activity is heading to the beach and looking for sand crabs.
There are literally way too many crabs...it's spooky.
A week filled with wonderful memories...Thanks so much Grammy and Grampy for the fantastic family vacation.

We Have a Kindergartner

Today was Taya's 1st official day of kindergarten.  She was super excited.  Teagan was too.  She got dressed and got her backpack ready as she thought she was going too.
I can't believe all the smiles.
Check out her backpack from her friend Alena.
 I'll admit, I did.
My baby girl is growing up.
Grammy has never missed a 1st day of school.  She was there when Taya started preschool., and now she walked Taya into her new school.
Teagan still thinks she is going.
 I LOVE this picture!
Watch out world.
So the smiles...finally turned to tears when she realized I wasn't staying.
While she cried when I left, check out the picture her teacher sent me shortly after school started.  She texted me that Taya was happy and having a blast.
Grammy picked Taya up from school, and Taya could not stop talking about what a great day she had.  She loves her teacher, and told me she can't wait to go back.  To celebrate the big milestone, Grammy and Grampy bought the girls something special.

It was such a generous gift to the girls, and the IPADS come at a perfect time as Teagan's IPAD finally bit the dust after taking a plunge in our neighborhood pond.  The girls were so proud of their new IPADS, and couldn't thank Grammy and Grampy enough.  It was such a special day, and I'm so glad my parents are here to enjoy it all.  Grammy took Taya to karate after school, and it looks like someone else is ready to start karate too.
That's right...Teagan is officially potty trained.  NO MORE DIAPERS!!!!  I can't believe after 5 years, I'm done with diapers...plus I have a child in kindergarten.  No wonder why I cried all day!!!

A BIG Milestone

On Wednesday my baby girl starts kindergarten. I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day.  She has been talking about how excited she is to start school, so I'm hoping her excitement stays!  We celebrated the milestone with cake.

Beach Fun Continues

My parents watched the girls, so Bart and I got some days where we could sneak away.  We headed up to Corolla where you just drive right on the beach.  We were shocked how packed it was.
We also were hoping to find some wild horses....and we did!
After a day of some couple time, we headed back to the house to hang out with the kids.
 Picture perfect!
 Jumping the waves.
Check out Teagan flying the kite all by herself.
 Pure JOY!
 Look at her jump.
My girls are beach bums.  Taya said she is ready to move to the beach.
 Fun with Grampy.
 A big one got her.
 Smiling away.
 Madi loved the ocean, too.
After a long day at the beach, hot tub time!
Next morning, it was back to the beach.
Then back to our pool.  The girls thought it was funny to squirt water in Grammy's mouth.
After some afternoon naps, it was back to the beach.
We actually all got out of our bathing suits and took some family pictures.
 Too cute.
 All of us together.
It's pretty amazing to get us all looking at the camera, especially since there is not photographer...just the camera set on timer.
The girls thought it was pretty cool our house had an elevator in it!  Teagan wanted to ride it over and over again.
At night, we set off some lanterns.
 It was pretty cool...
to watch them fly off into the sky.
 Sparkler time.
Such great memories...and some more still to come.
