Frozen

Taya is obsessed with the new Disney movie Frozen.  So much so she watches the songs all the time on my IPAD.  She made me run over to hear this new Frozen sound she found.
Hopefully listening to it over and over again will help her learn all those languages!

Snow Days

We finally got our 1st real snow of the season.  It wasn't much, but it was enough to cancel school ...which meant a day of sledding!

We Got Snow!!!

Who Rules the House?

That answer is simple...these two!  For breakfast, you see they are both eating so healthy.
Then, I find them both inside our table.  Yes, they are actually sitting inside the table!

Valentine's Surprise

Grammy and Grampy sent an early Valentine's Day surprise to the girls.  Some of my cell phone video is too big for the blog, so I have to put it on Youtube.
Taya and Teagan not only LOVED their Chuck E Cheese gift cards, but Taya was in shock over getting her very own IPAD!!!  She has been sharing my old one with Teagan, and now both girls have their own!!!
Thanks Grammy and Grampy...the girls LOVE all of their special treats.
She made this special card to thank you guys!!!
Taya told me she still can't believe she has her very own IPAD.  Of course, she wanted a picture with Mr. Owl and her new IPAD!

Snow Birds

There is one thing I learned today from our adventure...we will never live where it's cold and snowy all winter!  I signed the girls up for some sledding fun today.  Since we never get snow, this weekend the town where we live turned one of the local parks into a sledding hill.  The idea sounded great.  That is until it was 25 degrees, no sun, and the wind chill...below freezing!!!
The girls were bundled up and ready to go!
Since we never get snow here, we've had these sleds for a while waiting to put them to good use.  Well, you see the tube the girls are sitting on...it made it down the hill one time, and it popped!  Yep, Bart and Teagan went down the hill, and who knows if it was the heavy load, or the rocks, or the ice...but it didn't last.
Then it comes to the pink slide.  Taya and I went down first.  Besides being absolutely freezing cold and ice chunks blowing in our faces, the back of the sled ripped off from all of the rocks on the hill.
But none of that stopped Taya...she went over and over and over again! (If you look closely, she even has that darn owl in her hand.)
Teagan tried one more time with Taya.
As you can see from the video above, one of the toughest parts of this adventure was dodging all of the people sledding and running right into you!  Also watch again, and you'll see the back of the pink sled break off even more.
While Taya continued to sled ride until her pink sled was torn to pieces, Teagan and I sat in the nice warm car.

Bargain Hunter

I'm all about a good sale, and there's a big consignment sale I go to twice a year to find some good deals.  This year, the girls needed nothing but clothes.  I promised myself, I would skip looking at all the toys, and I would instead go right to the clothes racks for Taya.  Well, that didn't go so well.  I spotted this great steal for Teagan, and I knew my baby girl just had to have it.  For 10 bucks, who could pass it up!
Then, I found this.  The girls love to pretend to go grocery shopping.  This cart is AMAZING!!!  It's a Barbie cart, and it has a grocery scanner, it talks to you, adds up all of your groceries, and even has a credit card swiper on it.  Plus it came with a buggy full of food.
If you're wondering where Taya is...she's still sleeping.  The early bird get the worm in this household.
She needs some practice but not bad for 22 months!
Where are all the clothes???  Don't worry I got a big pile for Taya, so I did get at least what I went for...plus some.

Pinkalicious

Bart is away again, and it's just us girls.  So we headed to the theater to see the musical Pinkalicious!
If you're wondering who this owl is, it's Taya's classroom pet.  The owl was assigned to her for the weekend.  That means everywhere Taya goes, the owl goes!!
Taya loves the book Pinkalicious so I knew she would love the show...Teagan...the kid typically doesn't sit still, but surprisingly she did very well, and she even clapped after every song!

Bummer

All that talk about snow...and we woke up to only a dusting!  Not even enough to go sled riding.
Teagan was still just excited to see some of the white stuff on the ground.

FINALLY!!!

While pretty much the rest of the country has seen snow...us NOTHING!!!  That is until now!
At least they go inside and gets clothes on.

Best Buds

I love watching my girls play together.  Taya is such a good big sister.
Teagan wants to do everything Tay-Tay is doing!

Here We Go!

So I'm trying to find anything that will give me more energy.  I'm exhausted each day, and I need a pick me up.  What are we trying...juicing!  I did it years ago when I was a young and fit, and I loved it.   Now, I'm turning the family into a juicing machine!
The girls love to put everything into the juicer.
Teagan just wants to eat the whole carrot!
So both girls tried the concoction we made.  Taya said it was the most disgusting thing ever, Teagan took one sip and put it down.  Bart and I both drank a big gulp, and we wondered how we're ever going to keep doing this each day!  Don't worry, we didn't give up...we made a mean green juice for lunch...and then ate cookies!

Perfect Saturday

For once, we did nothing today but relax.  The girls snuggled up by the fireplace...
 and played their IPADS.
Then, we went out to dinner and back home for ice cream!!!

Karate

Taya decided she wanted to take karate.  She had no idea what it was, but she still wanted to try.  Her 1st one on one class was not too successful as she hid behind my leg the entire time, and basically I learned karate.  Bart took her to her 1st group class, and he said he couldn't be prouder as she participated without any tears!
I think this might be an attempt at a push-up?
Bart's phone does not capture good video, but for anyone who knows Taya and knows what a struggle it is for her to take part in a group activity...this is amazing.  To all those karate pro's out there, you are going to wonder why we think this is awesome, but we do!
