Happy Birthday Bart!

We celebrated Bart's birthday last week.  The girls made him some adorable gifts.
Nana Gail watched the girls for us over the weekend, and Bart and I headed to the beach!
So nice to have so quiet time just the two of us!
We enjoyed the beach, ate tons of great food...including this yummy dessert.
The weather was just perfect, and it was the perfect weekend getaway.
When we got back, the girls discovered we snuck away to the beach and were not happy.  They got in their teeny bikini's...
and demanded we take them!  When they learned that was not happening, they pretended to sunbathe right on our bedroom floor!

Random Fun

The girls and I went to kids night at a local pizza joint.  The clown was a big hit!
They loved their balloon art too.
Today, I took the girls to Three Bears Acres.  While we thought it was a good idea, it was HOT!!!
Trying to find shade anywhere we could!
They had a GIANT slip and slide.
It took a few tries to get the hang of it.

Where Has My Baby Gone?

Anyone who knows Teagan, knows she LOVES her paci's.  So much so she had more than a dozen of them, and you would never see her without one.  I always knew she would not go to first grade with them in her mouth, and it didn't bother me that she sucked on them.  One night I was putting her to bed,  and this happened!
The first night was rough, but after that she didn't look back and we are now paci free!!!
Then, a week later this happened.
So proud of my love bug, but a little sad that my baby years are gone!!!
Onto a big girl bed for my big girl!

Purple Belt Girl

While we were on vacation in Pittsburgh, Taya missed her karate testing.  So when she got back, she had to test all  alone.
She passed, and moved up to purple belt.

Beautiful Weekend

We got on our bikes and headed on a trail by our house.
Taya was WAY ahead of us!
She was on her scooter, and finally slowed down to wait for us!

Happy 4th of July

Yes I'm a little late, but we have been busy. We started the 4th of July off with a birthday party for one of my special friends...Gabby.
Sleeping Beauty and her prince were there for the fun.
Then, we went to our neighbors 4th of July party!  The girls adorable outfits are thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Brodersen.
Taya loves her new swimsuit from Nana Gail.
All the girls celebrating the red, white, and blue!
 All of the kids.
 Fireworks time!
What a great night!

Last Day in Pittsburgh

On our last day of our trip, I wanted to spend it at Kennywood.  While growing up, I went there every year for school picnics.  I was ready to show the girls all of the fun!
We opened up the park, and the first ride was the Jack Rabbit.
Teagan and I were ready!
This is my second favorite ride...the Kangaroo.
 See how far Teagan flew!
I had to ride it with my girls.
 Merry go round with Grampy.
 On the road!
I love their faces on the whip.
The mini Steel Phantom.
Elsa and Anna were a special surprise.  If the park looks empty, it was!  They called for major storms all day so we were the only ones that took a chance and the rain held off just long enough.
 My silly girls.
The whip again!  Notice Teagan not smiling.  She was not happy to ride with Taya as she wanted to ride by herself!
 Smiling now.
 My favorite picture!
 We wore someone out!
Both girls wanted to ride the Log Jammer before we left.  It started to rain, so we figured why not.
Grampy and I got soaked!
The girls were so short they didn't get that wet.
Despite getting soaked, we all loved it!
We ran into several super heroes.
One last hug for the princesses.
 What a great day!
We had a FANTASTIC trip to Pittsburgh.  We celebrated so many special occasions and created lifetime memories.  Despite me leaving this home almost 20 years ago, I still call this house that I grew up in my home.  But sadly, this was our last trip to Pittsburgh as Grammy and Grampy sold their home. It wasn't on the market, but a couple approached them about selling it to them and they thought why not.  After living here for 39 years, it's time to say good-bye.  We've had so many great times in the house, and we're going to miss it....
BUT the AMAZING news....Grammy and Grampy are moving to NC!  Not only moving to NC, but moving less than 3 miles from us!!!  They just bought a home here, and we are going to be able to see Grammy and Grampy everyday!!!!  I could not be more ecstatic as while they have always been here for the special occasions, they will be here for everything and my girls can ride their bikes to Grammy and Grampy's house!!!
