Happy Mother's Day!

We celebrated a little early on Friday with some gifts for the kids second mother...Nana Gail!
They made her some helping hands pot holders...and also gave her some gift cards to eat out.
 Plus hugs for their Nana!
Thanks for Nana Gail, the girls got me great gifts.  Light up flowers to spruce up the outside.
They also made something very special for me.

A stepping stone with their foot prints!!!
I wish I could celebrate Mother's Day with my mom.  The older I get the more and more I realize all the sacrifices my mom made for me.  The patience she had and still has for me today is amazing.  What's crazy is despite me being out of the house...and out on my own...she continues to do more and more for me!  Some of the best memories I have with my mom are all the amazing trips she has spoiled me with.  She has literally taken me around the world, and the memories we made together still make me laugh and cry. I don't think she has as many good memories though, as I've been trying to convince her to take another trip with me but she keeps saying no!

Just Chugging It

I'm one of those bad parents that don't care that my two year old still uses a bottle...why?  It means she's still my baby.  But when I caught her taking the top off and chugging it...I think it means she might be done with it.

Two Different Worlds

Now that it is so nice outside...each night I get home from work...this is my reality.  MAD CHAOS!
Bart is in Vegas on business this week, and texted me his world...enjoying the Bellagio fountains!

BUSY WEEKEND

This was a weekend that was just non-stop.  Saturday morning, we started with Taya's soccer game.  You would think I would have pictures of Taya kicking the ball, instead I can't take my eyes off this busy body.
Saturday night we headed to a BBQ at Owen's house.  Lots of great food and good company.
We topped Saturday night off with a bonfire at our neighbors house.  Sunday started with Bart leaving town at 5am, and the girls and I were off to a busy day.  We celebrated Sydney's 1st birthday.
Here is the birthday girl.
It was a Winnie the Poo party, and the girls had a blast!  They got lots of goodies to take home, and Taya kept saying, "I can't believe all the treats we got...this was the best party ever!"
Then, our church was having a Kid Jam.  Bouncy fun...
 glitter tattoos...
 plus lots of games!!!
We ended the evening with lots of neighbors over the house...all jumping away on the trampoline until it was too dark to see.

Emotional Story

For my work, I get to help all kinds of people.  I found out about the Mills Family who really needs help.
I included a link below to their story.  How can you help them?  Click on the link in the story to vote, and vote for them to win the wheelchair accessible van.  They not only have one child in a wheelchair...but two!  You can vote daily, but make sure you vote for the Mills Family from Durham, NC
Also, here's a shameless plug to help me out.  If you're on facebook, check out Troubleshooter Diane Wilson WTVD and like my page.  For some reason, our succes is measured by how many likes we have!

Spring Tea

We were invited to Taya's school for some art and music.  First up, my little artist.  This one is called, "Singing in the Rain".
Then, it was time for some singing.  Teagan is ready!
 Taya got on stage and...
 no crying.
While she sang a little bit...
not too much...but at least she didn't cry!!!
After the performance, it was all smiles.
 DOUGHNUTS!
 Onto something healthier.
