I was almost too exhausted to write a post about Taya's 4th birthday party with her friends, but I wanted to share with you the magical time. It started with a lot of preparations...including making princess cookies.
The girls wanted to help decorate the cookies.
Yep, she stuck her face right in the cookie!
The entire theme was all about princesses. I made castle and tiara peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids to eat.

We also had pink individual cupcakes, plus a Princess Tiana cake.

Every time the doorbell rang, both girls ran to greet the princesses.
Boys were invited to the princess party too, and Taya gave each prince a sword.
Each princess got to decorate a tiara and get decked out in jewels.
Time to eat!
Taya was in awe at everything going on.

And now to a REAL princess....Princess Tiana.
When Taya first asked for a princess party, she told me she wanted all the princesses at her party. When I told her only one could make it, and asked her which one would she like to have at her party...she immediately said PRINCESS TIANA! I started looking how to make that happen, and my co-worker and friend Tisha said she would do it. I looked at her as if she was crazy, and then I really thought she was crazy when she said she could make the dress. Check out her talent. Tisha along with her 11 year old daughter made this beautiful gown...and doesn't Tisha look just like Princess Tiana!
When Princess Tiana rang the doorbell, the girls were speechless.
Taya was a little shy.
And in disbelief that Princess Tiana was actually at her house!!!
Teagan wanted to check Tiana out.
Each girl LOVED seeing a real princess.
My photographer that I work with set up a mini studio in our family room, and he took pictures of each guest with Princess Tiana.
The boys even wanted a picture with the princess.
Even some parents wanted a picture!
Teagan could not take her eyes off Tiana.
Each girl had a big smile getting a picture with Princess Tiana.

Taya even warmed up and took a picture with Tiana.
Of course, Teagan wanted one too.
We then played 'Kiss the Frog'
The kids got a kick out of trying to get the lips on the frog's mouth.
The girls helped me put the tape on the back of the lips.

Princess Tiana helped each princess decorate a frame to put the picture they took with Tiana in it.
Each girl got a ribbon wand to play with.
Tiana showed them how to make it twirl.
Teagan just wanted a sword.

Taya was bashful with all of the attention.

Gift time! Taya didn't want to open her gifts during the party, so Tiana stayed after the majority of guests left and spent some quality time with Taya as she opened all of her presents.
She loves boy toys.

Two of her favorite gifts...a Brave dress and doll, along with a Brave bow and arrow!

This was such a precious moment as she wanted to try out her new crayons and coloring books. Teagan wanted part of it all, and Taya was happy to share with her!
It was such a great day filled with so many memories.. When we went to bed that night, Taya told me she wanted to have the party again, and that Princess Tiana was so nice to her. She is still talking about her party, and Princess Tiana. Taya keeps asking me when Tiana is coming back to her house. The next morning, she immediately got up, and she started playing with her new gifts...asking me about her next party.
